Radio New York

Outasight - Radio New York, available for download Tuesday, June 3rd.

If that's not clear enough for you...

Lock in on Monday and you'll understand. The album is an animal, I felt the bite. Our good man OU's gonna be in the building to talk about the project and unveil a couple tracks for yall. Early.

It's the week-END baby! Live it up!

What Happens in Vegas...

So, I'm back from vacation. Vegas was insanely awesome. I'm considering going back for Labor Day Weekend, courtesy of Air Tran. Still pondering...

*Quick Sidebar*
Do not fly Air Tran, trust me. They've given me nothing but heartache. However, I will be using my free round-trip ticket that they awarded me with [because my returning flight was delayed as a result of a malfunctioning part on the aircraft which they later
fixed and told us it was all good to board now - nah son!].

Ok, so - yea, vacation was dope. Vegas is the epitome of an adult playground. Cirque du Soleil + Liquor + Sun + Clubs + Good Looking People + An Awesome Hotel Suite = Good F'n Times.

It was really hard for me to not conduct business while I was away but I'm officially back to my NY State of Mind. Today was my first day back at my '9-5' [and I ended up workin' about 11 hours], Cuz We Said So is back in effect, effective Monday evening [9PM baby!] and last night I had the pleasure of rockin' in the studio wit my man
Outasight [more on that in a separate blog entry, coming shortly].

In short - I'm back. We're back.

Happy Friday folks.

Eat Love Pray

Honestly, this is one of the most awesome books I've ever read. It made my 8 hour bus ride, feel like 30 mins, seriously.

Look into it.

Yes, We Are.

In case you were wondering, yes, we're definitely on air tonight and famed spoken word artist and emerging photographer, J Ivy will be in the building as well. This is our last show of the month so don't miss out. For those of you who aren't aware, next Monday is Memorial Day. I don't know about you, but I'll be inebriated in shorts and a tee, somewhere in Las Vegas.

Be sure to tune-in, 9PM - midnight, you know the drill!

Why Wasn't I Invited to Chivalry's Funeral?

Over the weekend, I went to a graduation in Buffalo [not a fun 8 hour bus ride]. Congratulations to the graduating class of 2008, btw. Anywho, as I'm headed back home, I was duped by my signif into carrying an additional "tub" home with me. That ish was not light! I mean, it wasn't heavy but it was awkward to carry when you're 5'11 and slim w/ long limbs and the item you're carrying is beyond your width and about the height of your shins. It's not like carrying a bookbag or briefcase. So, my Greyhound bus finally pulled into NYC and I swear, I watched about 7 guys walk past me without offering a hand. To boot, the escalator wasn't working. I never understood why people walked up escalators that were turned off, why not take the stairs?

So boom, picture me walking up a flight of stairs with tub and duffle laid on top. I'm not a weakling but got damn! How do you walk behind, beside and even PAST a woman without offering a hand? Sheesh.

When I got beyond the Port Autority point, one guy did offer to help though - I didn't hesitate to let him. Gave him 5 bucks too. He got me to the point of the A train but he couldn't come through, so I trudged down the final flight of stairs [while 3 male police officers watched, without offering help].

It stems beyond my incident. Everyday I watch women help each other down stairs with strollers while men scurry by. I watch dudes stay seated on buses and trains while visibly tired elderly women stand. Where's the love?

What happend to being a gentleman?

Happy Mother's Day from Cuz We Said So, =).

What better way to water the blog drought then to dedicate it to all the amazing mothers out there?

Whether you have a one child, seven children, or one on the way, on behalf of Cuz We Said So, I wish every mother a very Happy Mother's Day. Kick your feet up, get pampered and enjoy the calendar day that's been assigned to you because you're THAT special.

Keep in mind though, everyday is your day and the phenomenal things you do, do not go unnoticed.

To the faithful Cuz We Said So listeners, tomorrow's show has been canceled as one of our Brooklyn College radio production professors will need the station for his final exam. However, we'll return next week Monday, May 19th - no worries =).

To those waiting on show uploads, stay patient, they're coming. We haven't forgotten about you!

Enjoy your Sunday folks, and be sure to tune-in on May 19th.

Stay True,

H.Oh
