The Long Awaited...

Random thoughts before we catch up:

- I think Kingda Ka may have damaged the top of my spine [or bruised it at least]
- Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap is fantastic [so long as you keep it away from the crotch region]
- Mondays are my busiest day of the week [like most of us] and I kicked ass today, I'm proud.
- I am grateful for every blessing I've been granted since my conception [conception included]

*Done*

Shout out to my man Garet in L.A who asked me last night why the hell I haven't blogged in so long. There was really no point in offering up an excuse. I allowed time to have its way with me, so - here we are now, catching up. First, tonight's show is canceled. It's time for some refocusing. I've grown tired of people telling me how proud they are of me [and the show] when I know that I can be doing more and giving more effort overall. Comfort is the enemy of ascension. So, expect more from Cuz We Said So - starting next Monday, July 7.

For those who've been inquiring about "what's new," I've been focusing on the future lately [moreso than usual]. Special thank you to Analogy, Joel Nealy and Raven Howard; three key players in my quest to live the dream. I appreciate everything you've contributed. Thank you for seeing and more importantly
believing in my vision. My aircheck is officially complete and the packaging process begins soon. That's all I'll say about that.

In other news, I've made the conscious decision to become a Master of All in lieu of a Jack. Why not? I start DJ classes on July 14th. It's a Monday course so you guys can look forward to D. Clarke hosting the first hour of the show for 6 straight weeks. Aside from the class, thank you to the DJ who agreed to 'show me the ropes'. I'm an addict of music and as I grow as a radio personality I've decided to add on another skill where I can both enjoy my passion and strengthen myself as a 'commodity.' That's all I'll say about that.

Life is much better when you can look past the negative and find the positive in situations. It's always there.

I hope you're all doing well. Thank you for the continued support.

Stay True

Still Can't Catch a Cab

This morning I found myself taking my unofficial second mom to work because her car was in the shop. I wasn't familiar with the area and needed to get to the Belt Pkwy or the BQE. I followed her instructions to a "T", but still didn't see the sign that said Belt Pkwy. Noticing that there was a large road that resembled the BQE in front of me, I stopped the car and pulled it to the side to ask someone for possible instructions, just so that I wouldn't make a mistake. In my mind, the best person to ask would be a cab driver. What a shock when cab after cab would not stop and repeatedly told me that they were not on duty. Now, I have had this happen to me in the city, but for it to happen in Brooklyn just threw me for a loop. In this day and age, what is the world coming to when a young Brooklynite can't stop a cab in the morning during rush hour? Now, I ask you readers why do you think no one would stop? Was it my appearance or demeanor? I am stumped up til now and still can't figure it out. I would hate to have to pull the race card or something like that, but I am really not seeing any other reason. What makes it even worse was that the individual who finally did offer assistance was a middle-aged White male when all of the cab drivers that ignored me were of African or Middle Eastern descent. Talk about self hatred.
