Who Got The Jazz?!

We got the jazz! Uhhh, actually - hip-hop MC and Queens native, LoJ does.

Funny, KingPin Kel and I were just discussing this project over the Cowboys/Panthers game Monday night. LoJ teams up with Swedish producer, Vans Cal, to create a jazz inspired hip-hop album. And I'm sure you Tribe fans remember the single from
The Low End Theory, "Jazz (We've Got)" . You guys know I'm not a big fan of Queens, lol but I always give credit where it's due. LoJ is one of my favorite rising artists and I've been looking forward to the release of this one. It includes 3 songs he's performed live and a bonus joint that we've never heard.

You can download it for free right HERE or by clicking the cover art above ^^^.

Either way, enjoy!

Up & Coming, 810

Good afternoon, =). I hope you're all well, wherever you may be. Know that we're still here and we're still working. Cuz We Said So is on schedule to make it's return next month.

In the meantime, here's a sneak peak at a rising Baltimore based hip-hop artist, 810. In February he released his first mixtape, Supply and Demand and his next project, Glass Half Full is slated for release November 12 with hosts, 2DopeBoyz, illRoots and DJBooth. Not too shabby, huh?

His sound and production for me are reminiscent of the hip-hop we used to dance to and the kind neighborhood old heads would blast while posted up on the block or cruising in their Vs with the slow head nod *picture a scene from an old Snoop Dogg video here*.

Find him on Twitter, MySpace and his personal blog. And of course, check out the music below and leave your comments.

Brittany Bosco: Spectrum 2.0 EP

I had the pleasure of interviewing the Savannah bred songstress, Brittany Bosco alongside Shine of CDR about two months ago (see interview: here) and I've loved her work ever since. I've been anticipating the re-release of this project and it's finally here. Music invokes countless emotions but this project? It makes you feel good all over. On some - "close your eyes on the train, vibe out and shrug your shoulders if you miss your stop" type shit.

Hopefully, you'll enjoy it as much as I have.

Did I mention that it's Free99? Yup, it is. if that's not incentive enough...
